Invoicing with ReAI

Creating an invoice in ReAI is easy:

1. Create customer: Enter name, address, and organization number. ReAI suggests Autofill based on previous customers.
2. Add goods or services: Enter description, quantity, and unit price. The AI ​​automatically explains and categorizes VAT rates.
3. Generate invoice: ReAI assigns the next available invoice number and sets the correct invoice date and due date.
4. Send electronically: You can send as a PDF or e-invoice directly from the system, with a ready-made payment link.
5. Post automatically: When the customer pays, ReAI reads the bank reconciliation, matches the payment against the invoice, and posts the transaction.

Credit note

If you need to credit a previous invoice, create a credit note in ReAI:

• Select original invoice – ReAI transfers all relevant details.
• Enter the amount or percentage credited.
• Credit notes are assigned their own sequential number, but always refer back to the original invoice number.
• Send the credit note electronically or as a PDF.

Invoice number and sequential numbering

Legal requirements in Norway require that all invoices have unique, sequential numbers:

• Continuous number sequence – no skips or duplicates.
• One number series for standard invoices and a separate series for credit notes if desired.
• ReAI automatically handles the number sequence, with the option of a prefix (e.g. “2025-001”).

Statutory information on invoice

In Norway, the following information must be included on the invoice for it to be valid:

• The seller's name and address - as stated in the Register of Entities.
• Organization number – including “VAT” if the business is subject to VAT.
• Invoice number – unique and ongoing.
• Invoice date and due date .
• Name and address of buyer .
• Description of goods or services , with quantity and unit price.
• Amount excl. VAT , VAT rate and amount incl. VAT .
• Payment information – bank account number (IBAN/BIC) or payment link.
• Any references – project or order number.
